60 A.D. began in December 2002 with William and Marlene Travis. Wil and
Marlene who hail from Ohio before moving to south Florida, have formed
several Christian bands, Praise and Worship bands and have led folks in
worship since 1979. Together they bring a new touch and a
contemporary sound to the Christian music industry with all original
music that has appealed to a wide variety of ages.
They completed that project in September 2003 and began seeking
musicians to complete the 60 A.D. sound.
60 A.D., as a band has been together since October 2003. Consisting of
Anthony DeFontes who originates from New York, is a vocalist has sung
professionally with some big names before finding Christ. He also adds
harmonica to the groups sound. Matthew Lawson is the bass player
who comes to us from Oklahoma. He formerly played with a Praise
and Worship band while attending college and makes a great addition to
the sound. Frank Nesbihal, our drummer hails from northern New
Jersey and has played in a rock cover band called "the Pulse"
before coming here. James Travis is sound technician. When not
pushing buttons on the sound board or making us sound crazy, you can
find James working on raising his belt rank in martial arts. We are so
thankful for each and every one of our band members, for their loyalty
and their desire to serve the Lord through music, the music He has given
them. You can reach them through their website of www.60ad.com.
The Lord has blessed 60 A.D. with a desire to spread the good news to a
dying world through His gift to them…music. “It is our desire
to spread the message of love, peace and hope to those who will hear.”
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
